LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, the UK’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, has just unveiled his entry titled ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’.
Diverging significantly from prior UK submissions, ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’ presents a delightful blend of whimsy and absurdity. The track resonates with the soul-crushing monotony of a traditional nine-to-five job, skillfully crafted through an infectious combination of synths and electronic bass. This whimsical piece features playful lyrics punctuated by lively German chants, alongside quintessential British nods (anyone fancy a roly-poly with custard?). With hints of Britpop and vibrant eighties synthwave, ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’ reflects LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s unique and quirky artistic style.
While some may have mixed feelings about the track—akin to the love-it-or-hate-it appeal of Marmite—many fans are applauding the UK’s selection process for daring to venture into uncharted territory. The song’s distinctly European flair has already struck a chord with Eurovision enthusiasts worldwide. It’s an exuberant anthem that invites listeners to dance and revel, set to energize Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle on May 16.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER – ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’
Expressing his excitement, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER stated: “I’m absolutely thrilled for the world to finally hear what we’ve created! ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’ was born during a creative session with my incredible team on my synthesizer ‘Kosmo’. I couldn’t be prouder of this project. I hope it inspires people to dance, shout, and sing along, embracing the joyous absurdity it brings. We’re putting in immense effort to create one of the most unforgettable performances ever seen at Eurovision—no small task! See you in Vienna!”
Adding to the excitement, Fredrik ‘Benke’ Rydman has been appointed as the Creative Director and Choreographer for LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s performance of ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’. Rydman is known for crafting some of the most memorable Eurovision performances in recent years, including the iconic staging for Switzerland’s 2024 winner, Nemo, with ‘The Code’, Finland’s 2023 runner-up, Käärijä, with ‘Cha Cha Cha’, and Sweden’s 2015 winner, Måns Zelmerlöw, with ‘Heroes’.
The Grand Final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be hosted at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna on Saturday, May 16. The Semi-Finals are set for Tuesday, May 12, and Thursday, May 14. Fans can enjoy live broadcasts of the Grand Final and the Semi-Finals on BBC One and iPlayer, as well as tune in via BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
