Despite our appeals to hardly recognize, Kamala Harris has been the bigger person. She apparently called Donald Trump this night to thank him on winning the presidency.
Given the results that were released on election night, the news is still something we had anticipated would n’t be so immediate. Many hoped a recount would provide a unique perspective, but Harris officially wished for a peaceful end to the Trump administration and gave it his all.
As Women’s Raven Brunner shared on X, this is a “devastating” headline to have on your investment.
Hearing that Harris has resigned hurts. Granted, that’s how Democrats function during an election. If they did n’t win, they did admit that this is what the outcomes recommended they should do. We may say the same about Trump and how his campaign handled the 2020 election or what would possess transpired if he had lost.
Still, knowing that the race is done and there is n’t much we can do hurts. Some people had hoped there would be an investigation into a myriad of problems with the vote before she conceded. We’re never sure whether or not that may also occur, but Harris has so far agreed to Trump’s presidency.
The truth is that we’re all really crazy, and while this is the appropriate course of action and the appropriate course of action, it still feels like the nail in the coffin.
Everyone feels desperate
What else can we do at this point besides purge the nasty feelings? What will really matter longer? My sole hope before she conceded was that something might have happened and that there might be a recall. I now understand Harris ‘ willingness to accept Trump’s offer, but my anger stems from my desire to refute that and say sorry.
Need recounts, look into those explosive threats at strongly political districts. Do n’t allow Trump to return to the White House after being previously impeached. None of this makes sense, and a second Trump administration will only worsen the contempt that fuels this nation. I’m scared and frightened, and Harris ‘ acknowledging makes it seem like all hope is lost.
I do n’t know what is going to happen next. No one does. But this one damage to read. You did everything you could have done to win this contest, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, thank you. Millions of people voted against a bigoted candidate, and thousands of others voted against him. You did not let us down.
Everything seems so gloomy right now, and there is n’t really a lightbulb, but seeing Harris ‘ handling of the situation makes it hurt even more. I’m not sure what will happen, but I’ll say that Kamala Harris ‘ leadership would have made our country a much better place.
