The Gibson Garage London is the first Gibson flagship business outside of the United States following the enormously popular opening of the Gibson Garage Nashville, and it offers the best guitar practice and place for music fans across the UK.

This morning ( February 22nd ) music icons Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Sir Brian May, and James Bay joined the Gibson team and fans to celebrate the opening of the shop, which officially opens to the public on Saturday, February 24th 2024.

Members of the public lined the streets to get their first glimpse of the room afterward, where they had a special” In Conversation” celebration with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page and hear live music from the Gibson Garage London level.

When I met with Cesar and he explained what the future of Gibson looked like, I knew I needed to be involved, Page, who lately formed a collaborative relationship with Gibson, said. After seeing the workers at the companies and building a relationship with them, I knew choosing to purchase that Les Paul Custom and the Doubleneck all those years back was undoubtedly the right choice. There is a soul in the area.

With Cesar Gueikian, President, and CEO of Gibson adding:” Jimmy Page deserves a very important chapter in the history of Gibson. We consider Jimmy to be an eminent adviser for guitars and a musical pioneer in the development and delivery of boulder! In many ways, Jimmy is responsible for the success, continued technology, and development of post-Golden-Era Gibson. We are appreciative of Jimmy’s confidence in the Gibson group, and we look forward to honoring him by bringing this incredible collaboration to living.

The new Gibson Garage London will be exactly what we all dreamed it should be, a place where a young player can feel welcome, mix with the best instruments, amps, and ancillary gear, and NOT be told to keep their hands to themselves, according to Queen guitarist Sir Brian May during the launch. It’s a new era in Rock – and the Twang is still the Thang”!

Whilst BRIT Award winner James Bay commented:” As a musician, even just holding a guitar for the first time was transformative. Then there was the first picked melody, the first blisters on my fingers, and still I went back for more. It’s something I’ll just never tire of. The opening of the Gibson Garage in London can serve as such a potent source of inspiration and creativity for anyone, especially young people who want to learn to play. I’m confident that the opening of these doors will not only spark lifelong interests but also produce such an exciting new generation of guitarists.

The Gibson Garage London is located at 61-62 Eastcastle St, London, UK ( one block from Oxford Street ) and is open daily Monday-Saturday from 10: 00-7: 00pm, and from 12: 00-6: 00pm on Sundays.
