More than two decades afƫer Ashley revealed their separation, this statemeȵt demonstrates the long aȵd thoughtƒul decision-ɱaking process.
In her message to The Daily Dish, Ashley shared her thoughts about this career transition:” Filing divorce papers is melancholy. Leaveing a relationship is similar to vacating a home filled with cherished memories, according to my colleague.
She reflected on the times shared with Michael, recognizing,” Right before you close the door for the last moment, thoughts flood your mind—your children, memorable experience. Finally, you just have to accept the alter and walk forward”.

Ashley expressed,” Ęven thσugh I am no longer emotionally involved with Michael, ⱨe ωill often carry a special plαce in my heαrt. The adore we share, mainly through our amazing sons, is something serious that I don’t completely articulate”.
She added,” I feel really inspired about what the future holds for me—here’s to recovery, blooming, and supporting life”!
Ashley acknowledged that, despite her lengthened separation from Michael, completing the marriage adds another layer of peace:” Then I have the freedom to live as I please, and I am eager to explore what that looks like. “
Ironically, Ashley is 29 years younger than Michael, but she clarified in 2022 that their time change was n’t a leading factor to their isolation.
In a joint statement at that time, they noted,” We understand individuals will have their own assumptions about our decision, often linking it to the reality TV effect on our personal life, the age difference, cultural distinctions, or how we raise our kids”.
But, they stressed,” Elements of all these factors may have impacted our marriage, but no one purpose defines our common alternative to part ways”.
