Definitely Fabulous sweetheart! The director for the Eurovision Song Contest this year has been confirmed as Dame Joanna Lumley.
Graham Norton confirmed that the multi-award winning actress will be speaking the results of the UK’s National Jury live during the Grand Final on Saturday, May 11, 2024, as was revealed on The One Show last night ( May 3 ).
Speaking about her exciting new position, Joanna said:” Great Dark Malmö, it’s Joanna around! I’m thrilled to announce the jury’s choice for the UK at this year’s Eurovision. It’s like a wonderful honour to give the iconic ‘ douze points'”!
National gold Joanna follows in the famous feet of past representatives including Catherine Tate, AJ Odudu, Amanda Holden, Nigella Lawson, Mel Giedroyc, and Richard Osman.
Olly Alexander, the star of Years and Years, may be representing the English at this year’s Eurovision with his mesmerizing track” Dizzy.” The actor is now in rehearsals for the performance, with his impending achievement being referred to as” Olympic boxing gym locker room, aboard a spacecraft hurtling toward Earth through a dark hole in 1985,” according to Eurovoix.
Olly has also been upping the Eurovision offer in various ways, including reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story, making an appearance on Eastenders, and receiving the desired Gold Blue Peter Badge.
