The September Outlook

Labor Day weekend typically signifies the height of summer in Charleston, but this year brought an unexpected yet delightful change. We enjoyed a few days of refreshing, cool mornings and evenings devoid of humidity, offering a tantalizing taste of fall. This couldn’t have come at a better time, as the final quarter of the year tends to race by—especially with work ramping up in preparation for autumn and the upcoming holidays. We have exciting collaborations launching before the year wraps up and plenty of behind-the-scenes activities. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for us this month…

What We’re Doing

Our schedule is packed with a series of trips this month that combine both work and celebration. We’re kicking off with a quick weekend getaway for a friend’s birthday, followed by a work trip to Connecticut and New York. It promises to be a busy but energizing few weeks ahead.
In New York, we’ll be staying at The Fifth Avenue Hotel, a first for us. The rooms look stunning, and I’m eager to see how the experience measures up. I’ll keep you posted!
Later this month, we’re heading to Chicago to meet with Summer and her team to finalize our kitchen design, as well as my closet and dressing room plans. I can hardly wait!
This week, we’ll be filming a tour of our kitchen and bar exclusively for paid subscribers of Trade Offs. There’s already a wealth of fantastic video content there, so check it out if you haven’t subscribed yet.
Mid-month, we’ll launch one of our collaborations—the second one we’ve done with this particular brand. Any guesses on who it could be? The pieces look beautiful, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

What I’m Wearing

I’ve been loving these Alemais pants, which I paired with the matching shirt.

What I’m Buying

I’m on the hunt for a new yoga mat for my at-home workouts.
A friend recommended these fall boots for my trip to Ireland next month.
I’ve also got my eyes on this stylish Kallmeyer Tassel Belt.
From my recent Doen Fall order, I picked up this multicolored stripe dress, this lovely silk mini dress, and this chic leopard card holder.
This eye-catching colorblock sweater is also on my list.
Recently, I made a couple of fall purchases from Shopbop: this Nili Lotan sweater and these corduroy pants.
I adore these sneakers. I have them in black and tan and just got them in this moody colorway for fall.
I couldn’t resist these striking chartreuse/ochre leather pants.
Lastly, I’m treating myself to this fragrant Dries Van Noten refillable perfume.

What I’m Eyeing

I have a love for jewelry, and I currently can’t get enough of Lucy Delius’ collections. Here’s what I’m coveting: this stunning Ruby pendant, these delicate Stirrup earrings, and these chic Ruby ear cuffs.
I’m also enamored with Marla Aaron’s beautiful pieces. Her site is a treasure trove. Right now, I’m particularly drawn to her colorful inlay designs. On my wishlist are this Inlay ring, this Inlay chain necklace, and this Inlay cuff.
I’m also keeping an eye out for Mary Nelson Sinclair’s new mixed bouquet pieces.
The Loewe x Albers Collection is slowly being released, and I’ve had my eye on it since its unveiling last year. I’m loving these pieces: this puzzle dotted bag, this silk-blend top, and this leather clutch.
For Fall/Winter events, two dresses I’m eyeing are this stunning Roksanda dress and this fabulous feather Buggy dress.
I’m thinking about upgrading our coffee pot to this beautiful silver version.
